Playing Characteristics

The Scholar's yellow brass construction provides consistent response, and a gold brass leadpipe warms the sound. The bell and throat diameter have been appropriately scaled down, producing a sound that is light and sweet, but also complex. It is similar in some ways to a Vienna horn.

Ergonomics

The Verus Scholar is a ‘child-sized’ F horn. It’s the ideal instrument for young students who are just beginning their musical journey. The single F horn is wrapped more tightly than full-size instruments, and its bell throat and diameter are similarly scaled down. The compact left-hand grip and adjustable pinky hook provide comfort for smaller hands.

Special Features

This single horn features an lyre/screw-style attachment on the leadpipe to accept a compatible hand crutch or further ergonomic attachments. Also featuring an extended mouthpiece receiver over a gold-brass leadpipe, offering superior durability and protection against wear and deterioration, making it a robust choice for students and professionals alike.
